Showing president elections Open VLD announced on 26 March 2016

On Saturday, March 26th will be announced the new chairperson (s) for Open VLD. This has informed the party after the congress members Thursday night agreed to early elections for the presidency and the board of the party.

Party Chairman Gwendolyn Rutten had earlier this month stated that the president elections in the Flemish Liberals would be brought forward. Statutory which were only planned for the autumn, but the unanimous demand of the party executive, the procedure is already in the spring instead.
Candidiasis can be submitted until February 26th. The campaign will then run until March 18th. Then an electronic vote which runs until 26 March. That day, the result is also disclosed. If several candidates and none gets a majority, subsequently followed by a second round of voting.
